Some of the wind turbine projects are now 180 metres high &amp; plans are for 11 - 25 of them on one site. The site we visited only had four but was obviously a great distress to the local community. I can email you a document (but in French) if you wish detailing their productivity. My fear is also for the vineyard areas around Saumur &amp; Anjou. Countryside of great beauty &amp; heritage that is gradually being eroded. Are there places in France where wind turbines seem to be working well w/o disturbing the surroundings? Last year we stayed in the northern Ardeche, and saw wind turbines near the Rhone. They were pretty massive even from a distance, but didn&#39;t really bother me.
